Letters to the Snr Apprentice (1)

A reply to the letter from the senior apprentice:

Beloved Senior Apprentice,

No words can express my gratitude towards you. It was you, who unplugged me from the illusion that I was living in and showed me the reality of the world. It was you, who invited me to join you, alongside other comrades to participate in the battle of the Kingdom. It was you, who brought me into your life, and yours into mine, so that I will be able to learn from you the art of fighting. Most importantly, I know that it was our Master who had directed you to do so.

Indeed, living and fighting alongside you have given me the opportunity to witness the scars and injuries the battle has brought upon you. Perhaps it should not come as a surprise, for I know that you are an apprentice as well, nonetheless a senior one, journeying together with me towards mastering the art of fighting. Yet, each time when you fall in battle, each time a wound is inflicted upon you, I realized the more formidable you become. In spite of the excruciating pain of the wounds, which I may not be able to empathize sometimes, be assured that the scars have made you into a stronger and better fighter. Perhaps it is also because of these scars that you realized that you have something to offer to your junior apprentice.

Beloved senior apprentice, thank you for affirming my growth. Remember that it was you, heeding the continual guidance of our Master, that has led me to where I am today. I have learned much from you, but that is because you have showed me the vulnerable side of you. Allow me to continue to learn from you as we continue to uphold the cause of the Kingdom, till the day our Master obtains complete victory in this world.

Yours sincerely,
Junior Apprentice
