I Wonder Why...

We often ask God to bring us into a deeper relationship with him, but we do not realize that he may not be able to do so if we always rush through our time of solitude with him without wanting to enjoy those moments of communion with him.

We often pray to God for certain virtues to face “difficult” people and circumstances and expect God to “throw down” these virtues supernaturally upon us, but we do not see “difficult” people and circumstances as God’s way of moulding us in order to develop these virtues in us.

We are often eager to know about God (through books, sermons, etc.), as if we are really interested in this person, but yet, it seems that we are often reluctant to invest time to fellowship with him in order to know him.
