To a Sufferer
Your emotional and physical resources are clearly limited.
You feel paralysed because you cannot do much but to lie in bed.
You feel that you cannot contribute due to your un-productivity.
Thus, you feel the meaningless of life and the uselessness of self.
As much as many may show concern, only you experience the full blow of the pain.
As much as they can empathise, sympathise and empathise again, only you know what you are going through.
People may be around you, but you feel that you are fighting the battle alone.
People offer words of encouragement, but the words are drowned in the overwhelming emotions.
Sufferer, you suffer in aloneness.
Sufferer, you suffer in loneliness.
What can others do to alleviate your suffering?
What can God do to alleviate your suffering?
May I journey with you in search of answers.
May I journey with you so that the battle is not yours alone.
May I journey with you so that I can come to know bit by bit what you are going through.
May I journey with you that I may share in your pain.
